Well, a Japanese score tracker seems to have discovered a new song on Empress that appears to have become avaliable somehow – its extremely weird that they’ve added something at the end of Beat #3, because that is when everything gets unlocked – and you need not have to play all the Taka songs ever created to play that new CANDY song, but still:

I read on 2ch that it might be a special unlock, alot like the “Sweets” OMES’s, and that it was added much like those Slake revivals, through a patch over e-Amusement (which is why it isn’t on the Empress machines outside of Japan). I’m not sure if the level 13 Double Another chart is a typo or not, but if it is, I wonder why they didn’t officially introduce it for some of those black anothers on Troopers CS (which, could probably deserve an extra notch)

Once you’ve played neogenesis (by the same composer) 573 times, this song from overseas DDR will appear. It was originally created for StepMania, but I’ve never seen something like this become real. But then, there are some revisions from the original version (for example, the sound effect at 100 bpm.) Δ (delta) describes a microscopic variation, so according to this meaning the tempo increases 1 bpm every beat. The song begins at 100 bpm, and by the end of the song reaches 573 bpm. This kind of gimmick is found in R壱萬 and Linus among other songs, but the sensation of the entire song speeding up can only be found in this song. Also, the current bpm is displayed prominently in the movie, so you can really feel the acceleration.

First of all, picking a Hi-Speed is a nuisance. However, since the second half is essential to clearing the song, if you don’t use Hi-Speed you can just muddle your way through the first half. Therefore, the notes appear very dense in the first half, but the quarter notes in the second half become easy to see. The symmetrical arrangement in the 261-485bpm range stands out. The Denim-like arrangement around 353 bpm is menacingly fast. In the Another, naturally, there are many 3 or 4 note chords, especially many 4 note chords in the symmetrical sections. At 500 bpm and above, the 3 and 4 note chords are particularly nasty.
