Tonight, is the night (well, I’m using that word since that’s when its the morning in Japan of release day, as usual), tonight we will finally learn the mysteries of the next beatmania IIDX game as it hits the arcades of Japan; the hold notes and backspin scratch gimmicks received mixed reactions from the community, which now make us all wonder if their use is going to be as limited as Shock Arrows on DDR X. The appearance of not one, but two Sirius previews on the recently released Empress CS was pretty surprising as a little taste of the action, but except for that, the only new thing that we have learned lately is that there is going to be a “party mode” (which appeared to look like a Street Master-like replacement for Tutorial mode), and a rumor that there is going to be music by Maki Goto on the game, part of which being associated with the House Nation group.
Tonight, hopefully, if j0n can get Meteor set up in time hint hint, we will be liveblogging this, live coverage, no refreshing needed. With links to your favorite social networking services (including Facebook and Twitter), you will be able to connect with us hopefully, as I may try to see if I could make a hashtag system so we can collect up some Tweets in here too, the tag will most likely be #iidxsirius (or maybe just #sirius)
The arcades open in Japan, in most cases, at around 9pm EST, so the information should start trickling in then. Please, to anyone who reads this site (if anyone even does
), spread the word!

Hi there!!
Thanks for making this blog about Beatmania and its latest releases
I've a question for you: Will you be liveblogging on Facebook? I hope so, because I have no other way to stay in touch… D: If so, is there any special Facebook Group with all fresh news?
Greetings from Santiago, Chile
I don't use Facebook. Period.
edit: as in, atm.
