Yeah its the Apocalypse, the so called IIDX site is covering Dance Dance Revolution location tests. But if anything, DDR X2, the arcade version, seems like its going to shape up to be a nice mix, even at our first glimpse.
With Konami having confused us already with the multiple games in North America (and the supposed-y that our X2 is completely different than ours, noting HP3 is getting a release in Japan under the title “DDR MUSIC FIT”), what will come of this one? We’ll see. All I know, is our X2 PS2 was basically a junky re-skin of DDR X JP with HP3 songs on it and stuff aimed at the South American market.
But, watch this space.
Notes
- The interface seems to be silver and a metallic green
- The song wheel is a cover flow-styled rig like DDR Universe 3 and Hottest Party 3
- There’s now Sudden/Hidden+ like in IIDX, both that and speed mods are adjustable in-game
- No extra stage on the location test build this time, but there is a new 18-foot song, Possession, only available on Versus mode final stage,
- Risky – sudden death modifier
- Lots of IIDX crossovers for some reason, with their videos where applicable, and for some reason FIRE FIRE has a new video.
- SuperNOVA licenses are gone, except for Golden Sky, and the possibility of others.
- Dynamite Rave is the new version from X US/EU
